Notes for Application
APPLICATION FOR REPLACEMENT OF CERTIFICATE / STATEMENT OF RESULT
The certificate of the SAYT courses is a unique document. No duplicate copy will be issued. However, student may apply for a replacement certificate in case of loss or damage of an original certificate.
課程證書只頒發一次,並無副本。證書若損毁或遺失,可申請補發證書。
To apply for a replacement certificate, please submit, preferably in person, the application form to the office of Centre for Promoting Science Education (CPSE) .
申請補發證書,申請人應親身到科學教育促進中心(CPSE) 的辦公室 遞交申請表。
The application fee is HK$50 for each replacement certificate package and statment of result, it can either be paid by cash, or cheque being made payable to “The Chinese University of Hong Kong”. Post-dated cheque is not accepted.
每張補發證書費用為港幣五十元正,申請人可到本辦公室以 現金,或以個人支票支付,支票抬頭請填寫「香港中文大學」,期票將不予接納。
Please write down the applicant’s name, course code, course name and telephone number at the back of cheque(s). Otherwise the Academy reserves the right to reject the application.
請在支票背面寫上學生姓名、課程編號、課程名稱及聯絡電話號碼。本學院保留拒絕證書申請的權利。

A | Your school may recommend you to join our program. You may also take the initiative to download the course descriptions and application package from our website and ask your teacher to complete the recommendation form for you. |
Q | 2. | What are the major differences between SAYT and EPYMT? |
A | SAYT (Science Academy for Young Talent) is established by the Faculty of Science, CUHK in 2010. It aims at nurturing secondary school students who are talented in science by providing them with different enrichment courses. Courses offered in the Academy are organised by different departments or units in the Faculty. Students’ efforts are recognised in terms of university credit exemptions or award of certificates, depending on the category that the course belongs to. EPYMT (Enrichment Programme for Young Mathematics Talents) is founded in 2002 with the generous support of Mr. William Benter, Director, Quantrix Limited. The activities in the academic year 2004-2006 are funded by the Quality Education Fund. Then, the programme continues its development with private fund of the Department of Mathematics. |

A | 我們的課程是按特定的範疇,以及適合就讀學生的班級範圍而設計。由於課程的對象是資優學生,內容會較為艱深,學習進度亦快速,因此不鼓勵你越級報讀。 A Our courses are designed according to abilities of gifted students in each particular grade. Since our target audience is gifted and talented students, content of courses is advanced and might be taught at an accelerated pace. Therefore, we do not encourage students to apply for courses above their grade levels. However, exceptions might be made for those who show very outstanding potential. |
