Curriculum 2014

For this 2-year programme, the student shall complete at least 69 units of courses for graduation. At least 51 units of science courses shall be completed for the major programme requirement, including at least 32 units of science courses from one of the seven following concentration areas:

69 units of degree requirement includes the following components:

    • Required science courses
    • Elective science courses
    • Research course(s) in the chosen area of concentration
  • 2-5 units of English (depending on the academic qualifications used to earn admission)
  • 8-9 units of General Education (depending on the College Affiliation after admission)
  • 1 unit of Physical Education

Life Sciences concentration

Select from a group of specified Life Sciences courses offered by BCHE, BIOL, CMBI, ENSC, FNSC, MBTE programme, and School of Life Sciences (LSCI). 5-6 units
Elective Courses

 

  • Select from Concentration Area Courses, offered by BCHE, BIOL, CMBI, ENSC, FNSC, MBTE programmes, and School of Life Sciences (LSCI). At least 6 units are 4000-level courses, including at least 3 units of research course.
≥25 units
  • Select from courses outside the concentration, offered by CHEM, ESSC, MATH, PHYS, RMSC and STAT programmes.
