Academic Leadership Camp for Earth and Environmental Sciences 2025

The Academic Leadership Camp for Earth and Environmental Sciences 2025, held 20-26 July 2025, was a remarkable success, thanks to the unwavering support from the CUHK Graduate School. The week-long programme provided a platform for participants to engage in diverse and enriching activities, including seminars by distinguished professors, guided field trips to geological sites like High Island Reservoir, and interactive workshops.

The Third HKSIAM Biennial Conference

Organised by the Department of Mathematics, The Third HKSIAM Biennial Conference was successfully conducted at CUHK during 7-11 July 2025. This event attracted more than 320 participants, of which 185 are non-local participants. It was the second time the Department of Mathematics organised the Conference, which enabled the Department to actively engage with mathematicians working on industrial and applied mathematics in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland, as well as the international community.

2024-25 Science Faculty Postgraduate Research Day

The Faculty hosted its annual Science Faculty Postgraduate Research Day, featuring 24 students from seven graduate divisions. Participants presented their research through oral presentations, and poster presentations with pitching, highlighting their innovation, excellence and also fostering engagement with their peers and faculty members of our Faculty.

Science Faculty Research Day 2025

The Faculty held its annual Science Faculty Research Day on 15 May 2025, themed “Pursuing Excellence in Science.” Prof. SONG Chunshan, Dean of Science, delivered a keynote lecture titled “Creating a Sustainable Supply Chain of Chemicals and Fuels Using Carbon Dioxide Towards Carbon Neutrality”. Six scholars from different research areas discussed strategies for securing competitive research grants.
