Abstract:

The world of science offers a multitude of exciting career paths that extend far beyond the confines of a traditional lab of research. In this seminar, we will be hosting Sarah – an engineer and Cambridge University graduate – who has forged a unique and diverse career journey encompassing investment banking and entrepreneurship.

This seminar aims to inspire university students pursuing science degrees, empowering them to think beyond conventional career trajectories. Through personal anecdotes and real-life experiences, our speaker will shed light on the limitless possibilities available to science graduates and how they can leverage their skills and knowledge to excel in various industries. By sharing her personal journey, Sarah will highlight the valuable skills acquired through a science education and how they can be leveraged to drive innovation and create a positive impact in the edtech industry.

Attendees will gain valuable insights into the transferrable skills acquired through a science education, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning. They will discover how these skills can be applied to navigate diverse career paths, including entrepreneurship, finance, consulting, and more.
