Curriculum

For this 2-year programme, the student shall complete at least 69 units of courses for graduation. At least 51 units of science courses shall be completed for the major programme requirement, including at least 32 units of science courses from one of the seven following concentration areas:

  • Biochemistry (BCHE)
  • Biology (BIOL)
  • Cell and Molecular Biology (CMBI)
  • Earth and Environmental Sciences (EESC)
  • Food and Nutritional Sciences (FNSC)
  • Molecular Biotechnology (MBTE

  • Statistics (STAT)
  • Chemistry (CHEM)
  • Earth and Environmental Sciences (EESC)
  • Mathematics (MATH)
  • Physics (PHYS)

Degree Structure

69 units of degree requirement includes the following components:

  • 51 units of major programme requirement
    • Required science courses
    • Elective science courses
    • Research course(s) in the chosen area of concentration
  • 2-5 units of English (depending on the academic qualifications used to earn admission)
  • 2 units of UGCP Courses
  • 7-8 units of General Education (depending on the College Affiliation after admission)
  • 1 unit of Physical Education

Biological Sciences concentration
